DUTIES:
As an Administrative Officer you will: Supervise a small contingent of positions. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work, when necessary. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, considering difficulty and requirements of assignments as well as the capabilities of employees. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Refer more serious cases to the supervisor for resolution. Identify developmental and training needs of employees, and provides for or arranges for needed development and training. Develop performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates. Assist management in the defense and presentation of the budget. Ensure that all of the serviced organization's budget plans reflect program objectives, priorities, commitments and a variety of administrative controls and established limitations. Plan and direct comprehensive studies and analysis of the missions, plans, operations and relationships to define its administrative services needs. Establish goals and objectives for the administrative services programs that focus administrative program resources on meeting the serviced organization's needs and ensuring consistency with the overall goals and objectives. Assess the impact of legislative, regulatory, policy or program initiatives/developments on the serviced organization's administrative services program.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level of in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include identifying and recommending solutions to any barriers to administrative actions needed to support plans, programs and objectives (e.g., personnel actions, travel procedures, and purchasing). Documenting experience: In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
